Biography

Rawia Osta, co-founder of Osta Law Firm, is a versatile legal counsel and lawyer with a diverse practice of more than 20 years. Her experience includes a significant transactional and litigation background in corporate law, banking, real estate, gas and oil, construction, development, project management and zoning. She is primarily engaged in negotiating effective resolutions and providing legal oversight for leading local and multinational corporate entities and banks in Lebanon and abroad. She has a comprehensive experience in drafting national and international contracts, coaching and educating senior stakeholders, and playing a commendable role in risk mitigation and the prevention of disputes under several jurisdictions.

Rawia has practiced law since 1995, providing her expertise in a full spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, and playing a vital role in establishing, administering, and streamlining numerous entities of Lebanese Alfa bank abroad. After having successfully directed the Legal Departments of Bank Audi’s entities in Syria and Iraq, Rawia was appointed as a Senior Legal Counsel in Majid Al Futtaim LLC in the West Region, which is known for being a leading integrated lifestyle provider specializing in brands across industries and later on as Head of Legal Department at Saradar Bank s.a.l.

On an interpersonal front, Rawia is recognized for being an inspiring leader, a hard worker, and a perfectionist in her field, creating and driving high-performing teams. She is a result-oriented professional, possessing superior communication skills, excellent presentational skills, and outstanding negotiation strategies. Her academic credentials are endorsed with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil and Corporate Law from Sagesse University, a well-known university established the first Law Faculty in Lebanon and the Middle East. Rawia is also a lecturer at the Beirut Bar Association Institute since 2012, providing lectures on banking topics under Lebanese Law.
